This program requires you to have 2 years of management experience in the last 5 years, a $1.6 million net worth and the applicant must make a sizable investment in Canada to be awarded the much sought­ after, Canadian Permanent Resident visa.

For the investment, it is one of the following two options:

• An $800,000 CAD deposit with the Government of Canada for a period of 5 years with no interest or
• A onetime payment of $220,000 CAD which will not be refunded to you.

Without getting too specific, Business Class Immigration in Canada is divided into three main categories: Federal, Quebec and some of the provinces have their own Provincial Nomination Programs that deal exclusively with Business Class applicants. The end result of all the programs mentioned is the same, Canadian Permanent Residence.

Some programs require a substantial investment in Canada while others ask that you start a business.
